Microstation V8i License Xml: Benefits of Using Server-Based Licensing for Your Products

If a client workstation will have limited or no internet/network connection your account may decide to utilize a checked out a license. Licenses can be checked out from the client workstation (see Client Check In and Out Instructions for XM and Higher [TN]) or by a SELECT administrator (see Admin Check In and Out Instructions for XM and Higher [TN]) or by Bentley Licensing Support .

Microstation V8i License Xml

If the license has been checked out by an administrator or Bentley, an XML file is generated. Generally these XML files are sent via an email attachment which the client workstation will need to import in order to activate the software. Save any received XML files to a location on the client workstation (or least accessible from it).

Offline activation is achieved by having an Administrator supply the user with a checked out license in the form of an ".XML" file, and the user preceding to import the license file onto the License Management Tool on the workstation.

Non-SELECT licensing is version and machine specific. You may not freely switch between different versions of the same application. If you are trying to activate a Non-SELECT license, for the first time, and get an error message saying that "The version number does not match" then do the following.

Fill in the Site Activation Key in the Site Activation Key box. Due to the length of the site activation key, it is recommended that each user copy and paste the information directly into the license management tool. Also, be sure there are no extra spaces before or after the server name and site activation key as this can prevent a proper activation.

I have geometry alignments of land parcels defined in MicroStation InRoads V8i. Instead of using the dgn files I want to use the geometry files. I have ArcGIS 10 Desktop advanced license with Data Interoperability extension. InRoads will export to a LandXML file but ArcGIS is not able to read the files - "AdvanceToElement: unable to find xml element.

The Reference Logger (LogRefs) is provided by LA Solutions Ltd at no cost.LA Solutions Ltd grants you an indefinite license to use this software.Use at your own risk: LogRefs is not guaranteed suitable for any particular purpose.

PowerMap, like PowerDraft and PowerCivil do not occupy a Microstation license, but it is included as Runtime at a fairly low price compared to Bentley Map + Microstation. So it runs as if it were an application developed by yourself on the Microstation API, with all the functionalities except that it will not run on this other Bentley program such as Geopak, Descartes, etc. 2ff7e9595c
